3 Months Post-Op: Pics and Measurements

Today is my 3-month surgical anniversary - which means progress pictures and measurement reports!

I'm still really unhappy with these pictures - the boob droopage does not match my mental image of myself (new bra needed? Probably yes!), the fat on the back of my upper arms is disturbing, and clearly I'm going to have a hanging panniculus (the apron that droops down off my waist).

I know I've lost a bunch, and that I still have a long way to go, but at least this month, these aren't as motivating as I'd hope they'd be. The only thing I do notice, is that I'm "flatter" in front looking at the side view.

Anyway, here they are.

Now the part that does make me feel better, measurements:
Current Loss Total Loss
Chest51-3.5-7
Waist49-2.75-5
Hips57-3-4.25
Thigh23-1-5.25
Calf19-2-3.3
Bicep19.250-1

Oh! And completely forgot the weight totals:
Beginning weight338
Weight at surgery304
Current weight256.6
Total loss81.4
So what do you think?

  1. Oh my god, Annie. You've lost so much weight! How do you feel? I know I haven't seen you since Rhinebeck, so I know the change would be dramatic, but WOW.

  2. Thanks Sarah! I feel good - it's really starting to become apparent as I do things - my space requirements are smaller :). I'm a bit more than halfway to the top of their suggested goal range for me, but just under 10 pounds shy of halfway to my personal goal. I may not hit personal goal without plastic surgery to remove some excess skin, but we'll see what happens. I'm looking forward to my appointment at the end of May to talk in more detail about "ok - where exactly within goal range do you want me to be before I can go back to the reproductive endocrinologist, remember (at the time of the appt) - I've just turned 46, I'm seriously on the edge of being out of time"

Definitely looking forward to what I'll feel like with the rest of it gone!
